WHY I STARTED THIS COMPANY
I first came across Flower Essences in the 1970s while I was teaching at what was then known as the Australian College of Natural Medicine.
As a practicing acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist, working within Traditional Chinese Medicine and Mind-Body Medicine models, I found that flower essences were perfectly suited to treating the unseen energetic and emotional components that are necessary for optimal health.
I felt compelled to develop a range of flower essences that could better address the needs of my clients.

FLOWERS AS HEALERS
Flowers have been used for healing in many cultures, and today we still find many of their applications in use through modern medicine, herbal remedies and natural medicines. I have always been an avid gardener, and spent my down time at my property on Mount Nebo tending to my native garden.
I was called to make up these essences because I felt such a strong affinity with flowering plants and I heard their messages of healing, loud and clear. And so began my journey creating and developing my own unique range of Flower Essences.
Originally named Spirit of Woman Essences, my priority was bringing into focus the healing needs of women. I perceived an imbalance in the male-dominated world, and understood that the needs of women were many and varied, and hugely under-represented in a patriarchal society. My focus was on bringing women closer to their bodies, closer to their natural way of being, and understanding themselves as powerful and worthy of occupying the space that nature intended.
It is with much joy that I have observed the rise of women and the female principle. Inclusive changes in language, the popularity of inter-sectional feminism, the #metoo movement, and passionate climate activists such as Greta Thunberg herald the start of the shift that I first set-out to support with Spirit of Woman Essences.
When starting my company, it was my hope that humanity could come together in the space of love and connection if all beings could open to their uniqueness. I knew then that my flower essences had the potential to bring people into their heart space, and to operate from a place of togetherness, and they continue to connect human beings now more than ever.
Now is the time for HeartRadiance for all beings. My team has grown to include my two daughters, Ananda and Grace, and our new vision for our beautiful flower essences. A reflection of the ever-changing landscape of the energetic world, HeartRadiance Essences embody and support togetherness, unity and energetic health and harmony.
By occupying the communal space of the heart, the place where inner peace and love resides, our ability to love is expanded, not only for ourselves, but for all beings with whom we cohabit on this beautiful planet we call home.
