Intelligent Plant Life

Is plant life intelligent? Does it have consciousness? Scientists tend to answer no, at least in the strict sense. Plants lack brains and neurons, so what they display is better described as behaviour, signalling, or plant cognition rather than intelligence. But before settling on that verdict, it's worth looking at some newer, more widely accepted ideas about what intelligence actually means.

The Flower Queendom

The concept of the Flower Queendom was introduced to us by beautiful Soul Sister Holli Scius, a Flower Mandala artist from Kuranda. When Holli spoke of the flowers as her sisters and the reciprocal relationship she shares with them, it resonated deeply. It gave language to something we have always felt: that flowers, like women, exist in relationship.
